On 18 June 2026, the official opening of Wierzynek Restaurant House took place in the heart of Kraków, celebrating one of the city’s most iconic and historic landmarks. The event brought together distinguished representatives of the cultural, business, tourism and media communities, alongside long-standing friends of the brand, creating a memorable celebration of Kraków’s renowned hospitality and rich traditions.
With a legacy rooted in the legendary royal feast hosted by Mikołaj Wierzynek in 1364, Wierzynek embarks on a new chapter while remaining true to its enduring role as a place where people gather to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories. The timeless traditions of fine dining, meaningful conversation and respect for Kraków’s cultural heritage formed the central theme of the evening.
Guests were welcomed by Radosław J. Fronc, President of MSHG Group, who highlighted Wierzynek’s unique place in Kraków’s identity and its vision for the future as a contemporary restaurant house—one that warmly welcomes both the city’s residents and visitors from around the world. During the official ceremony, the management presented an ambitious vision for the property’s future, seamlessly combining centuries of history with contemporary gastronomy, culture and the arts.
A highlight of the evening was the opening of an exhibition by acclaimed Polish painter Dobiesław Gała, showcased within the beautifully restored historic interiors on the second floor of Wierzynek Restaurant House. Guests had the opportunity to meet the artist and explore his latest works, which complemented the elegance and heritage of the venue.
The celebration was further enriched by an exceptional musical performance from renowned musicians Robert Kabara and Michał Roemer. The sounds of violin and piano filled the historic halls, providing an elegant soundtrack to conversations and gatherings throughout the evening.
Guests were also invited to experience an outstanding culinary journey created by the Executive Chefs of Wierzynek Restaurant House. A selection of signature canapés and tasting dishes, inspired by Polish culinary heritage and interpreted through a contemporary lens, reflected the restaurant’s philosophy of bringing together history and innovation. This commitment to excellence has been recognised by inclusion in the prestigious Gault & Millau Yellow Guide, which was available for guests to explore during the event. The evening was further enhanced by tasting stations curated by the event’s valued partners.
The historic venue was thoughtfully arranged into a series of themed spaces. The elegant dining rooms hosted culinary experiences and networking opportunities, the Renaissance Hall became home to the art exhibition, while the Pompeian Rooms offered an inviting atmosphere for informal conversations and professional networking.
The opening of Wierzynek Restaurant House marked not only the beginning of a new era for one of Poland’s most legendary restaurants, but also a symbolic invitation to continue shaping the story of a place that has remained one of Kraków’s premier culinary destinations for centuries. Today, Wierzynek proudly continues its mission of combining the legacy of royal banquets with a modern vision of gastronomy, hospitality and unforgettable guest experiences.
