Stara Wędzarnia

Stara Wędzarnia to restauracja i delikatesy w jednym. Mieści się w Kołczewie, niewielkiej wsi na wyspie Wolin, w klimatycznej chacie z ciemnego drewna. Spore wnętrze z drewnianymi meblami i barem pomalowano na biało, a ciepłe oświetlenie daje wrażenie przytulności; czerwone drzwi prowadzą na przestronny zadaszony taras.

W menu dominują ryby wędzone – restauracja dysponuje własną wędzarką – i świeże. Zjemy tu m.in. dorsza, miętusa, karmazyna, halibuta, zębacza, turbota czy antara. To z pewnością raj dla wielbicieli ryb, ale nie tylko dla nich, bo sporą część karty zajmuje włoska pizza prosto z pieca.

Latem na stolik trzeba tu trochę poczekać, ale z pewnością warto! Warto też pamiętać, że przez dwa pierwsze tygodnie listopada restauracja jest nieczynna.

Stara Wędzarnia is both a restaurant and a delicatessen. It is located in Kołczewo, a small village on Wolin Island, in an atmospheric dark-wood cottage. The spacious interior with wooden furniture and a bar is painted white, and the warm lighting creates a cozy feel; red doors lead to a large, covered terrace.

The menu is dominated by smoked fish – the restaurant has its own smoker – as well as fresh fish. You can enjoy cod, burbot, rockfish, halibut, wolffish, turbot, and antar, among others. It is certainly a paradise for fish lovers, though not only for them, as a significant part of the menu is devoted to Italian pizza straight from the oven.

In summer you may have to wait a bit for a table, but it is definitely worth it. It’s also good to remember that the restaurant is closed during the first two weeks of November.
