Full profile

Born in 1980 in Monopoli, Apulia, in southern Italy, he is a master of combining modern and traditional culinary techniques, as well as composing flavors that become a true feast for the senses.

He perfected his culinary craft in some of the world’s finest restaurants, including venues in Italy, France, and the United Kingdom. Since 2015, he has been a member of the “Oxford Encyclopedia of Personalities of the Republic of Poland” — a distinction awarded for his overall achievements in the culinary field — and he is also a graduate of the University of Oxford. In 2015, he was named “Chef of the Future” by the Gault&Millau Poland guide, and in 2017 he received the title of “Chef of the Year”. In 2026, he was honored with the title of „Innovative Chef” for his outstanding achievements in culinary innovation. Andrea was also included in the “100 Best Chefs in the World 2019” ranking by the prestigious French publication La Liste, published by Le Chef magazine. In 2020, the Government of the Italian Republic and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs included Andrea Camastra among the most talented and successful Italian professionals on the international stage of the last century.

His Warsaw restaurant Senses was awarded a Michelin star five consecutive times starting in 2016. In June 2023, after only 13 months of operation, NUTA — under the direction of Chef Andrea Camastra — became the only restaurant in Warsaw (and just one of three in Poland) to receive a Michelin star, repeating this achievement again in 2024 and 2025.

In 2024 and 2025, Chef Camastra was recognized at The Best Chef Awards, where he received the distinction of One Knife.

In March 2026, during the Best Awards gala organized by Gault & Millau Poland, he was awarded the title of Innovative Chef, while his restaurant received the distinction of four toques.
